EINSTEIN (Exploring Infections of the Nervous System Through Epidemiologic InvestigatioN)
EINSTEIN is a multi-partner collaborative research initiative designed to improve our understanding of neurological infections across the general population. While neurological infections can cause severe, long-term health consequences, often affecting young, previously healthy individuals, data guiding their diagnosis, treatment, and prevention remain limited.
EINSTEIN leverages electronic medical records and observational research tools to identify and analyze individuals with neurologic infections. By examining patterns in infection type, risk factors, treatment outcomes, and long-term impact, EINSTEIN aims to build the evidence base needed to guide clinical care and improve health outcomes for people with neurological infections.
