EINSTEIN (Exploring Infections of the Nervous System Through Epidemiologic InvestigatioN

This study is a research initiative designed to improve our understanding of neurological infections across the general population. While neurological infections can cause severe, long-term health consequences, often affecting young, previously healthy individuals, data guiding their diagnosis, treatment, and prevention remain limited.

This study leverages electronic medical records and observational research tools to identify and analyze individuals with neurologic infections. By examining patterns in infection type, risk factors, treatment outcomes, and long-term impacts, EINSTEIN aims to build the evidence base needed to guide clinical care and public health policy. The project also addresses gaps in understanding infections outside high-risk subpopulations, helping to inform more equitable and effective care strategies.
